Job Full Description
Maintenance/Custodian Needed!!!
One will be Maintain cleanliness of shop floors, walkways, restrooms, breakrooms, and office areas. Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove debris from high-traffic production areas. Empty trash bins, metal scrap bins, and recycling containers throughout the facility. Clean windows, doors, and common surfaces to maintain a professional environment. Maintain outside grounds: picking up debris, clearing walkways, and light landscaping as needed. Perform basic building maintenance: light bulb replacement, minor drywall/paint touch-ups, tightening fixtures, etc. Conduct routine inspections of facility equipment (air compressors, fans, lighting, etc.) and report issues promptly. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks under supervision of the Maintenance Lead. Support machine shop operations by cleaning around mills, lathes, grinders, and fabrication equipment. Perform minor repairs on tools, carts, hoses, and shop support equipment. Maintain safe walkways, spill cleanup, and proper signage in accordance with OSHA and company standards. Ensure proper storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Assist with fire extinguisher checks, eyewash station inspections, and general safety compliance tasks. Report hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions immediately. Assist with organizing tools, parts, and materials in maintenance and storage areas. Help move equipment, materials, and shop items using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified). Support production teams with cleanup during and after projects. Assist with facility improvement projects such as painting, shelving installation, and workspace organization.
