Job Full Description

Position Purpose

Track Hangar tools, including checking in/out parts, tools and supplies to personnel, and monitoring/organizing of inventory. The hangar has many tools that require asset tracking for Asset Accountability and Tool Control Accountability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Issue and return tools to shop personnel (scan badge and tool barcode)
  • Organize, clean, service and maintain tool crib and tools.
  • Add new tools (customer furnished, supplier produced tools, client produced tools) to Tool Control database Asset Tracking Software
  • Prepare tools for and coordinate shipping of tools from client back to customer, or to supplier
  • Receive customer and Government furnished tools (Bell, Sikorsky, US Gov’t) remove from crate, packing, etc
  • Perform semi-annual tool inventory, and annual inventory for tools loaned to suppliers.
  • Monitor Asset Tracking Software periodic inspection dates, send emails to notify department supervisor when tools will be recalled for inspection
  • Monitor tool condition in storage (corrosion, etc), and apply corrosion preventative measures as required
  • Set up and Maintain Hangar Tool Crib
  • Set up and print bar codes for all tools.
  • Set up tool Storage shelving for identifiable location.
  • Inventory and enter into Asset Tracking Software all CH53 tooling (Gov’t, Sikorsky).
  • Inventory and enter into Asset Tracking Software all tooling.
  • Set up Asset Tracking Software database to add all employee’s that will check tools in/out and all department supervisors (employee name, ID, department)

Scope & Accountabilities

Internal Stakeholders are:

  • Leads – Morning pass down.
  • Aircraft Mechanics – Tool check in/out

External Stakeholders are:

  • Tool Vendors – Discuss tolling repairs/pricing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires use of basic shop math; simple use of charts, tables, specifications, schedules.
  • Requires some basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently use personal computer and specific software application programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team/collaborative environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required and valid drivers license
  • Effective oral/written communication skills.
  • Some evenings and weekend overtime will be expected during peak production hours and during annual inventory timeframes.
  • Must have the following qualities, Good attitude and moral practice, must promote safety, work ethics, punctuality, honest and a team player. This candidate must work alone or with others, be a positive influence, detail orientated, with problem solving skills and willing to do up to three hours overtime when needed.
