Job Full Description
Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including recording transactions, managing accounts, and preparing reports. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, possess strong organizational skills, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Payroll processor
- Process invoices, payments, and payroll in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Prepare tax filings and assist with audits as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Provide administrative support to the finance department
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets, formulas, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma required; an associate degree in accounting or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus
