Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer/Accountant to join our professional team. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, providing accounting services, and offering exceptional customer service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial software, with excellent analysis skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts. Duties
- Prepare and review individual, business and corporate tax returns with accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Provide tax planning advice and strategies to clients to optimize their financial outcomes.
- Analyze financial statements and concepts to support client needs and ensure proper reporting.
- Assist with financial analysis, including analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and document processing.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting services related to tax preparation and accounting solutions.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with team members on client projects and provide technical support when needed.
Requirements
- Proven 5 years of experience in tax preparation and accounting.
- Licensed tax preparer or Enrolled Agent is preferred.
- Knowledge of current tax laws, tax concepts and forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120.
- Experience 5 years of preparing corporate and partnership tax returns.
- Proficiency with tax software such as Intuit LaCerte.
- Excellent tax research skills with on-line services such as CCH Answer Connect.
- Ability to respond to Federal and State tax notices.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, or similar platforms.
- Ability to prepare quarterly payroll reports, W-2's and annual 1099's.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, analysis skills, and technical accounting principles.
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail for accurate calculations and data entry.
- Experience with bookkeeping, financial sales, marketing, and customer service is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts efficiently.
- Familiarity with 10 key typing for accurate data input.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
