Interpret technical blueprints, CAD models, and specifications to determine machining strategies

Develop and edit G-code programs using Mastercam and SolidWorks, or through manual programming

Optimize toolpaths, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters to improve cycle time and surface finish

Select cutting tools and develop work holding and fixturing solutions

Perform test runs, simulations, and dry runs to validate programs and prevent collisions
-
Troubleshoot programming, machining, and quality issues and make necessary adjustments
-
Assist with CNC mill setup, tool changes, calibration, and machine operation as needed
-
Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
-
Collaborate with Project Managers, machinists, and engineering teams on process improvements

Maintain accurate documentation for programs, setups, and quality records
-
Strong understanding of CNC milling, G-code/M-code, and machining principles
-
Proficiency with Mastercam and CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks preferred)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to programming and machine operation

Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality

Proficiency in shop math, including algebra and trigonometry

Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Degree or certificate in CNC programming, machining technology, or related field preferred

Practical hands-on experience in CNC programming and milling operations required
