Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Technician to support both metallurgical and chemical sample preparation and testing in a laboratory environment. This role is well suited for someone who is mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable working with precision equipment. Entry-level candidates with strong aptitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities

Perform metallurgical sample preparation, including cutting, grinding, mounting, and polishing using saws and related equipment

Conduct metallurgical testing and evaluation such as:

Perform chemical sample preparation for combustion-method testing
-
Follow established testing procedures and lab protocols closely

Accurately document results using computer systems and lab software
-
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized laboratory workspace
-
Assist with additional testing or lab tasks as directed
Qualifications
-
High School diploma required
-
Associate’s degree or coursework in chemistry, metallurgy, mechanics, or related science strongly preferred
-
1–3 years of experience in a lab or technical environment preferred (not required)

Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
-
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes precisely

Ability to multitask and jump into new tasks as needed

Willingness to work overtime when required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
