Job Full Description

A General Production worker in the aerospace industry fabricates, assembles, inspects, and installs aircraft or spacecraft components, operating within strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards. They are responsible for reading blueprints, operating machinery, and maintaining accurate production records, requiring high precision and attention to detail. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble parts, structures, and systems according to detailed engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Quality Control: Inspect equipment and systems to ensure compliance with quality standards, identifying, documenting, and reporting defects.
  • Operational Precision: Operate and maintain production machines, tools, and equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, logbooks, and traceability documentation for materials and processes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, ITAR) and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Material Handling: Move materials, parts, and assemblies within the production area safely. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skill: Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, ideally in aerospace, sheet metal work, or CNC machining.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on quality, with experience in precision measuring instruments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace materials (e.g., composites, alloys) and manufacturing procedures.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, or pull heavy components.
