Hours: 4-8pm sat/sun/mon each week. 8-4:30p

Dress code: Business Casual

Job Description: 

Summary

The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for a company, providing front desk support and administrative assistance. Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing appointments, handling correspondence, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.  

Essential Functions

·         Answers telephone; transfers calls to appropriate person or department and distributes telephone and/or other messages.

·         Effectively greets and directs visitors.

·         Creates, supports and maintains an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest with a positive emphasis as well as a calm environment.

·         Maintains appropriate files assuring security, confidentiality and timely location of such materials

·         Performs scheduled duties in an accurate and timely manner using email whenever possible.

·         Assists with data input and verification and performs general typing duties as assigned; copies, collates and assembles documents as necessary.

·         Follows established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention smoking regulations, infection control, etc.

·         Is aware of Resident Rights and demonstrates a respect for our residents and these rights.

·         Performs other duties, as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Experience:

·         Minimum one (1) year of experience as a receptionist.

·         Specific business experience with older adults or in the retirement housing industry preferred. 

Education:

·         High school diploma or equivalent.

·         Must possess proficiency in Microsoft office Suite to include MS word, MS Outlook or similar email applications, and possess the ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
