Job Full Description

  1. Before accepting a job:

  • Do you have reliable transportation to and from the job site during the required working hours?

  • Take a dry run out to the Company’s Facility so you know exactly where it is located. DO NOT physically go in their building or contact them unless you have an interview or are officially starting that day.
  1. If Express sends you out for a job interview:
  • Dress professionally or according to the job requirements.
  • Be prepared.
  • Research the company/services/products beforehand by visiting the client/company’s website.
  • PLEASE NO facial jewelry, do not wear anything that is dirty, too tight, low-cut or revealing, no holes/rips/tears or anything offensive.
  • Before you go into the interview, text us to let us know that you are there. After the interview, contact Express to let us know how you made out.
  • DO NOT take your cell phone into the job interview with you!
  1. First day on assignment:
  • Text/Call Express before you go into the facility to let us know you are there.
  • Text/Call Express when you are finished the first day, so we know how you made out.
  1. If you have an extreme emergency and need to call off work, you must contact Express via text or call us at and the client company you are working for asap.  Unless the job description tells you to only contact Express.  Hold onto your job description so you have the company’s contact information handy.  You must leave your name, the company you are working for, reason for your call off and a number to reach you at.
  2. This is your time to shine at our clients for possibly a long-term position, so ATTITUDE, ATTENDANCE, and JOB PERFORMANCE ARE ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL, to move forward with our client’s and for Express!  Do not call off, go in late or leave early within the first 90-120 days or your assignment may be ended.
  3. If you call off or do not show up on your first day on your assignment and have attendance issues, Express would be extremely limited in working with you on future assignments. Please try to have the best attendance you can without being late, calling off or leaving early.  This reflects directly on you and Express.

SUMMARY

 

Requires previous work history with operating a combi-lift. Perform duties outlined below in addition to assisting functional areas when available.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Perform general processes, including picking parts, receiving parts, packing parts, and putting parts in storage locations.
  2. Adhere to general safety requirements.
  3. Operations of equipment including fork trucks, picker trucks, and reach trucks.
  4. Other duties as assigned 

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.  Although the individual is required to have the ability to communicate and work effectively with various departments in a team-like manner.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Familiar with industry part numbers and warehouse processes.
  3. PC and basic computer knowledge.
  4. Attention to detail and task completion.
  5. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  6. Material handler, reach truck, cherry picker

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT

 

  1. Work is normally performed in a warehouse work environment.
  2. Bending and lifting to 50 pounds.
  3. Infrequent land/air travel may be required.
  4. Generally limited exposure to physical risk.
  5. Comfort with working at elevated heights.

 

 

Hours: 1st Shift: 6am-2:30pm Needs to be flexible.

            2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm

3rd shift: Sunday starts at 10pm-6:30am

 

Training takes place on the 1st shift for the whole week. 7am to 3:30pm on the first day. 6am to 2:30pm the rest of the week
