Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a CNC lathe to produce precision plastic and rubber components according to specifications. This role requires an understanding of machining processes, drawing interpretation, measuring techniques, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe to perform turning, facing, grooving, and other operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings and specifications.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and tooling before starting machine operation.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols.
- Document production activities, including job logs and inspection records.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
- 1+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiar with G-code, M-code, and CNC programming basics.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to work overtime or shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise tasks.
