Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:30am-5pm. Must be open to working Fridays and Saturdays.
Job Description:
The Motor Technician is responsible for the teardown, inspection, repair, and rebuilding of starter and reverse motors. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose issues with both electrical and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tear down and inspect starter and reverse motors to identify mechanical or electrical problems.
- Clean, repair, and replace worn or damaged components to restore full motor functionality.
- Reassemble motors according to specifications and ensure proper alignment and operation.
- Perform diagnostic testing to verify performance and ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Document repair work, parts usage, and test results with accuracy and consistency.
- Use proper tools and follow all safety procedures while working with energized and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement of repair processes.
