Hours: Tuesday through Sunday. 12pm-10pm. Must be flexible. Work on average 10-25 hours a week
Position Summary
Plays a vital role in the guest experience and day-to-day operations. This position supports the Shop Manager in preparing rigs, assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and creating an upbeat, professional atmosphere that reflects the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers, assist with check-in, and guide guests through simulator orientation
- Operate the booking, timing, and simulator systems (training provided)
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the entire facility
- Prepare, restock, and reset rigs and lounge areas between sessions and events
- Support private events, group bookings, and league races with setup and teardown
- Assist with minor troubleshooting or report equipment issues promptly
- Uphold safety standards and ensure all guests are briefed on safe simulator use
- Represent with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain high-performance sim racing equipment, including wheelsets, pedals, and gaming consoles, ensuring everything is calibrated and ready for race sessions
- Assist racers with setup adjustments, troubleshooting technical issues swiftly to minimize downtime
- Manage race logistics by organizing equipment, scheduling sessions, and coordinating race start times to maximize efficiency
- Support the technical team with hardware and software configurations using tools like Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for event registration or merchandise sales when applicable
- Uphold safety standards by ensuring all equipment is used properly and maintaining a clean, sanitized environment around the racing stations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with racers, answering questions about equipment or race procedures, and fostering a lively competitive atmosphere
- Handle cash transactions accurately during event sales or merchandise booths, applying basic math skills for cash handling and POS operations
- Assist in event setup and breakdown, including bussing or cleaning work as needed to ensure a professional presentation of the racing area
Experience
- Knowledge of iRacing and/or Racing in general is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in sim racing, eSports events, or related motorsport activities is highly preferred
- Knowledge of iRacing or equivalent software is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food service or quick service restaurant environments can be advantageous for managing concessions or snack stations during events
- Strong understanding of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions
- Demonstrated ability in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards if involved in catering aspects of events
- Excellent time management skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Background in retail math or grocery store operations helps with accurate cash handling and inventory management
- Experience working in fast-paced settings like cafes or retail stores enhances your ability to adapt quickly during busy race days
- Basic knowledge of kitchen experience or food industry standards is a plus if supporting hospitality services during events
