Job Title: Laborer – Office Furniture Installation & Removal (Project-Based)

Johnston, Rhode Island
Project Duration
Expected to run from February 5, 2026 through March 23, 2026
Schedule: Thursdays only
Hours: 8 hours per day
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Laborers for a short-term project in Johnston, Rhode Island, involving the setup of new office furniture and the removal of existing furniture. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team to complete the project safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Remove and load old office furniture for disposal or transport

Unload, assemble, and install new office furniture according to layout plans

Move desks, chairs, workstations, shelving, and related office equipment
-
Wrap, pad, and protect furniture and surrounding areas to prevent damage
-
Use proper lifting techniques and follow all safety guidelines
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project
-
Follow supervisor instructions and work collaboratively with team members
-
Report any damaged items, safety concerns, or issues promptly
Qualifications & Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items (50–100 lbs with assistance)

Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods

Reliable transportation to the Johnston, RI project site

Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment

Previous furniture moving, installation, or general labor experience preferred but not required
