Assembler II

Schedule: 1st Shift
Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Days: Monday – Thursday (Friday as needed)

Position Summary

The Assembler II is responsible for assembling a variety of subassemblies and finished products for general-purpose machinery. This role includes performing functional testing, quality inspections, and ensuring products meet specifications and production deadlines. The position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, feeler gauges, arbor presses, and hand trucks.
  • Verify dimensions, alignment, and functionality of assembled parts.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments and alignments to ensure proper fit and operation.
  • Conduct operational testing according to product checklists.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Install electrical components, including switches, sensors, connectors, and wiring harnesses.
  • Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
  • Identify and correct assembly defects or discrepancies.
  • Document assembly processes, test results, and quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate daily production records.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including adherence to 6S practices.

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly experience required.
  • Machine-building experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

PPE Requirements

  • Contractors must provide and wear their own steel-toed boots.
  • Additional PPE required for specific tasks will be provided on-site.
