Maintenance Mechanic
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of maintenance experience and be comfortable performing a variety of building and equipment repairs. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to following safety procedures.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform minor building maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Perform basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs.
- Operate a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
- Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
- Complete additional maintenance duties and projects as assigned.
- Prioritize work orders and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong math, reading, and written communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience required.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using a variety of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of prints, specifications, and schematics.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify maintenance issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Safety & Emergency Response
The Maintenance Mechanic must be able to respond promptly to emergency situations, notify the appropriate personnel, and follow all required safety protocols and procedures.
