General Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Warehouse Worker with forklift experience to support daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will assist with receiving, storing, moving, and preparing materials for shipment while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical tasks, operating warehouse equipment, and working as part of a team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials, products, and shipments safely and efficiently.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move and store products.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas as needed.
- Verify quantities and inspect products for damage or discrepancies.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Follow shipping, receiving, and material-handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic math and reading skills required.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Valid forklift certification preferred; must meet company requirements for equipment operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills and inventory documentation experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with shipping and receiving.
- Experience with inventory control and order picking.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Experience using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
- Must follow all workplace safety requirements and proper material-handling procedures.
