Position Summary

A Leasing Specialist is responsible for attracting prospective residents, leasing apartment homes, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the leasing process. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospects and residents, helping maintain high occupancy rates and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist prospective residents in person, by phone, and online.
• Conduct property tours and highlight community features and amenities.
• Respond to leasing inquiries and follow up on leads promptly.
• Explain lease terms, rental rates, policies, and community guidelines.
• Process rental applications and verify applicant information.
• Prepare lease agreements and related documentation.
• Coordinate move-in and renewal processes.
• Maintain accurate resident and prospect records in property management software.
• Assist with resident retention initiatives and customer service requests.
• Monitor market trends and competitor pricing.
• Support marketing and outreach efforts to generate new leads.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous leasing, sales, customer service, or property management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as needed.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations preferred.
