Sign Installer/Fabricator
$22-$25/hr
Murrells Inlet
We are seeking an experienced sign fabricator and installer to join a growing team in Murrells Inlet, SC.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with commercial sign installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of both illuminated and non-illuminated signage.
Responsibilities
Sign Fabrication
- Fabricate and assemble custom signs using aluminum, acrylic, PVC, steel, vinyl, and other sign materials.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, routers, welders, drills, laminators, and vinyl plotters.
- Apply vinyl graphics, digital prints, and dimensional lettering.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and installation drawings.
- Ensure all fabricated products meet company quality standards.
Sign Installation
- Install a variety of commercial signage
- Safely operate ladders, aerial lifts, bucket trucks, and other installation equipment.
- Ensure proper mounting, wiring, and assembly of signage in accordance with industry standards and local codes.
Service & Maintenance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair illuminated signs and lighting systems.
- Service LED, fluorescent, and electrical sign components.
- Identify and resolve electrical, lighting, transformer, ballast, power supply, and wiring issues.
- Perform routine maintenance inspections and repairs to ensure signs remain in proper working condition.
- Provide customers with professional service and communicate repair recommendations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior commercial sign fabrication and installation experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing illuminated signs.
- Working knowledge of electrical components and wiring connections.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and installation drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to accurately read measurements and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with sign industry software and production equipment.
