Job Full Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Press Operator II to operate and maintain standard 10-inch web flexographic presses using water-based ink systems. This role requires strong setup, troubleshooting, and quality control skills in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently set up and operate 10-inch flexographic printing presses
- Mount plates and rotary dies with accurate registration
- Manage water-based ink systems including pH, viscosity, and color consistency
- Monitor print quality, registration, die-cutting, and overall press performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, print, and ink-related issues to minimize downtime
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of press equipment
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
Qualifications
- 2+ years of flexographic press operating experience required
- Experience with water-based ink systems preferred
- Strong understanding of flexographic printing, color matching, and die-cutting
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- High attention to detail and quality standards
