Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Powder Coater to join our production team. The Powder Coater will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces, applying powder coating materials, and ensuring high-quality finished products that meet company and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sets up, operates, and maintains powder coating equipment according to production
requirements
• Sets and adjusts equipment to ensure coverage and cure of powder coating
• Maintains system as required by production to ensure an uninterrupted process
• Perform preventive maintenance per schedules as required
• Must be accountable for the operation and maintenance of the powder coating system
following production requirements
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to PPE guidelines. Clean, inspect, maintain,
and care for company-provided tools and equipment. Perform and record quality checks as
required. At times, prepare, sand, hang, and clean work pieces to prepare for powder also
perform other work related duties as assigned
• Can stand for extended periods
Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous powder coating experience is required
• Must be familiar with the operation of the powder coating booth and equipment
• Must have a high level of hand/eye coordination, capable of standing, bending, and stooping for
long periods, and can work with various tools used in repairing machine
• Mechanical aptitude, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities are also required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Problem Solving - The ability to work through the details of a situation to reach a solution
• Adaptability & Resilience - Can comfortably shift among multiple tasks and initiatives
