Reefer Technician
Fort Worth / Blue Mound, TX
Pay: $20–$23+/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Hours vary based on shop needs)
On-Call Rotation Required
Position Overview
A leading transport refrigeration company is seeking a Reefer Technician to join their Fort Worth team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining transport refrigeration units on trailers and trucks. The ideal candidate will have refrigeration, HVAC, diesel, or reefer experience and be comfortable working independently.
Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair transport refrigeration units

Troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and cooling system issues

Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections

Detect refrigerant leaks and recharge systems

Repair or replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant lines, and engine seals

Read fault codes and follow manufacturer troubleshooting procedures

Complete repair documentation and maintain accurate parts records

Follow all company safety procedures
Qualifications
-
Previous reefer, transport refrigeration, HVAC, or refrigeration experience preferred

Ability to troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration systems

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record

Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation

Must provide your own tools

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
