Pump Mechanic

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced pump mechanic to perform shop repair, assembly, and disassembly of industrial rotating equipment including horizontal and vertical pumps, centrifugal pumps, compressors, turbines, and associated systems.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years hands-on experience with pump repair and rotating equipment maintenance
- Proven expertise in disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of large-scale pumps and machinery
- Background in repair of fans, blowers, steam turbines, pump seals, and support systems
Skills & Technical Abilities:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and assembly drawings
- Skilled with precision measurement tools including micrometers, gauges, and inspection equipment
- Understanding of pump component functionality and system integration
Education & Training:
- High school diploma or GED
- Millwright certification, technical college training, or completion of a recognized multi-year apprenticeship program
