Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a direct hire, full-time position with a respected local engineering firm. This is a permanent, on-site opportunity — ideal for someone who is passionate about machine design and thrives in a hands-on engineering environment.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Well-qualified candidates with significant design/engineering experience and a different educational background will be considered.
- 5+ years of directly related experience preferred.
- Candidates with less experience but strong qualifications will also be considered.
- Machine Design is a core requirement.
- CAD proficiency – SolidWorks preferred.
- Ability to view, create, and modify parts and assemblies using sound CAD practices.
- Ability to read, check, and create detailed drawings.
- Familiarity with GD&T.
- Experience with scheduling, estimating, controlling project budgets, supervising fabrication, and managing installations is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work safely in industrial environments.
- OSHA or other safety training is a plus.
- Must participate in Express Employment Professionals’ drug screening program.

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Occasional travel to jobsites (less than 10%).
- This position is fully on-site — remote work is not available.
