Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and dependable Account Support Specialist. This role focuses on account outreach, payment resolution, and customer communication, while supporting overall accounts receivable efforts. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience in financial services and develop valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay: $17–$18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (20–25 hours per week, flexible)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct account outreach to resolve outstanding balances
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding account status and payment options
- Handle sensitive or difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism
- Accurately document account activity and maintain detailed records
- Perform consistent follow-up to ensure timely resolution
- Meet performance goals related to collections and account resolution
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining focus and attention to detail
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong verbal communication skills, especially over the phone
- Ability to handle challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Reliable with consistent attendance and follow-through
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Basic computer skills, including data entry
- Ability to remain attentive during repetitive tasks and high call volumes
Preferred Experience
- Previous customer service experience
- Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or call center environments
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk
- Frequent use of computer, phone, and headset
- Repetitive tasks such as typing and data entry

- Computers and phone systems
- Customer account management or collections software
- Microsoft Office and general office equipment
