Location: Bellingham
Salary: $75,000 plus Performance Bonus
Lead Operations. Own the Outcome. Build the Future.
We're seeking an experienced and driven Operations/Location Director to take ownership of the operational and financial performance of a thriving membership-based workspace and business community in Bellingham.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on creating systems, driving results, and improving operational excellence. You'll be responsible for the location's profit and loss performance, member retention outcomes, vendor management, operational processes, and long-term sustainability. Most importantly, you'll help build the operational blueprint that future locations will follow.
Financial Leadership
Own the P&L, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Manage budgets and monitor spending against financial goals.
Conduct monthly financial reviews and variance analysis.
Oversee accounts receivable and delinquent account resolution.
Support pricing decisions within approved guidelines.
Member Retention
Own member retention and revenue retention results.
Develop and manage processes for identifying and retaining at-risk members.
Analyze churn trends and implement corrective actions.
Lead exit interview and retention review processes.
Create strategies that improve long-term member engagement and loyalty.
Operations & Facilities Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility.
Manage vendors, supplies, inventory, access systems, and safety protocols.
Create, document, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure the location operates efficiently and consistently without dependency on founder involvement.
Systems & Reporting
Develop operational dashboards and performance reporting.
Track key business metrics and provide regular scorecards.
Document systems and processes that can be replicated in future locations.
Lead operational planning and coordination for facility expansion and relocation initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, you will:
Complete a full operational audit.
Establish baseline financial, retention, and performance metrics.
Build and document key operating procedures.
Implement retention tracking and reporting systems.
Assume full ownership of operational and financial performance.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Proven experience managing a business unit, location, branch, or revenue center.
Demonstrated ownership of a P&L, budget, or financial performance metrics.
Experience building operational systems and processes from the ground up.
Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and navigate challenges through direct communication.
Availability to work on-site in Bellingham.
