Cold End Technician – Job Overview

Pay: $20/hr

Location: Winlock, WA

Looking for a hands-on job where you can stay active, work with a team, and learn something new every day? This full-time, entry-level role is part of a rotating shift schedule in a glass production facility. As a Cold End Technician, you'll be part of the final step in the glass-making process — inspecting, packaging, and ensuring quality before products are shipped out.

Schedule & Shift Info

  • 12-hour rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Work two weeks on days, then two weeks on nights 

  • Full year’s shift calendar is provided up front so you can plan ahead

What You’ll Do

  • Watch for defects in glass — scratches, chips, bubbles — and pull anything that doesn’t meet standards

  • Use basic tools and machines to move and package glass sheets safely

  • Label finished products and prep them for delivery

  • Keep your work area clean and organized

  • Work closely with teammates and follow instructions from supervisors

  • Stick to safety rules and always wear required PPE

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including THC)

  • You must be able to go smoke-free for your entire 12-hour shift

  • Background check required — no person-to-person crimes in the last 5 years

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

  • Reliable attendance — this company requires job longevity from previous positions

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and move around for 8–12 hours

  • Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and safely

  • Work in varying temperatures (some areas are hot, some are cold)

  • Regularly bend, twist, push, and pull materials
