Security Dispatcher
$17.24/hr to $21.09/hr
Shift hours are variable
Located at Sacred Heart Medical Center, the Security Dispatcher provides a centralized location for collecting, processing, documenting, and disseminating information related to both routine and emergency calls for service in the INWA Region. This position operates similarly to a public 911 center while also monitoring high-risk areas using CCTV systems, alarms, and access control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and coordinate responses to routine and emergency calls for service.
- Monitor and operate security surveillance equipment, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Dispatch security personnel promptly and effectively to incidents and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all communications and activities.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with security officers, management, and external agencies.
- Provide support for incident response and ensure timely reporting of security matters.
- Follow established protocols and procedures for security operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a security, law enforcement, or dispatch environment is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in using computers and familiarity with monitoring systems.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
