Job Summary:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. You will work closely with clients to ensure their financial data is up-to-date, organized, and compliant with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update financial records including ledgers, journals, and invoices

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts

Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management or clients

Assist with payroll processing and tax filings as needed

Monitor and manage budgets and expenditures

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations

Collaborate with accountants or auditors during financial reviews

Identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues promptly

Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role

Proficiency in bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred

Experience with payroll and tax compliance is a plus
