Welder - $30/hour+
Full-time, day shift
We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join a respected steel fabrication team in the Spokane area. This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with a background in structural, industrial, or miscellaneous steel fabrication. As a Welder in this role, you’ll work from fabrication drawings and 3D models to produce high-precision components used in infrastructure, industrial, and special construction projects. This is a hands-on, production-floor position with opportunities for growth and long-term placement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on a variety of steel components
- Fabricate structural steel, piping, and custom metalwork per project specifications
- Fit, tack, weld, and assemble components with close attention to detail and tolerances
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and code compliance
- Collaborate with team leads and fabrication personnel to meet project timelines
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety standards
- Use cutting, grinding, and metal prep tools as needed
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of welding experience in a fabrication or industrial setting
- Proficient in reading fabrication drawings and interpreting welding specifications
- Familiarity with structural steel, pipe welding, or custom metal fabrication
- Skilled in MIG (GMAW); experience with TIG or stick welding a plus
- Ability to meet weld quality standards and pass welding tests if required
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude
