Job Title: Quality Manager
Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and UL requirements. This role provides leadership over quality initiatives, drives continuous improvement across operations, and ensures products meet internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager reports directly to the CEO and plays a critical role in shaping the company’s quality strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and UL requirements
• Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, including ISO audits and on-site UL certifications
• Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors, regulatory bodies, and certification organizations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency
• Establish, monitor, and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure quality standards are embedded in processes
• Train and mentor quality team members and promote a culture of quality and accountability
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and audit reports
• Ensure customer quality requirements and expectations are met or exceeded
Expected Results
• Successful transition and ongoing compliance with ISO 9001:2015
• Clean audit results with minimal findings for ISO and UL certifications
• Improved product quality metrics, reduced defects, and increased customer satisfaction
• Strengthened quality culture across the organization
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Proactive, adaptable, and continuous-improvement focused mindset
• Proven leadership abilities and accountability-driven approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience with ISO 9001 and UL standards preferred
Equipment Used
• Computer and standard office equipment
• Quality inspection and testing tools
• Manufacturing, quality, and audit documentation systems
Physical Requirements
• Ability to walk manufacturing floors and production areas
• Ability to stand, bend, and move between departments as needed
• Ability to sit for extended periods for documentation, analysis, and reporting
Work Schedule
• Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
