Estimator
Location: Spokane, WA
Pay: $31.25 per hour
Shift Available: Day Shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Estimator to join our clients team in Spokane. This position is responsible for reviewing construction plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate project estimates. The Estimator works closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and assist in preparing complete bid packages.
This role plays a key part in helping ensure projects are bid accurately and efficiently while supporting a smooth handoff to project management after a project is awarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations to develop accurate project estimates
- Request and evaluate pricing from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Prepare and assist with submission of competitive bid packages
- Maintain organized estimating documentation and cost tracking records
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to build strong working relationships
- Assist with coordinating project handoff to the project management team after award
- Support the estimating team with additional administrative or project tasks as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous estimating or construction experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Bluebeam and Sage 100 preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Regular computer use
- Ability to review digital and printed construction plans
