Job Full Description
Production Operator
We are currently hiring Production Operators (2nd & 3rd shift) for a well-established reusable packaging manufacturer in DeForest, WI. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company and gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Production Operators will work with extrusion equipment, finished products, quality inspections, and material handling.
Pay: $20/hour
Schedules:
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:00pm
3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:00am
Location: DeForest, WI
Responsibilities:
- Operate extrusion machines to produce plastic sheet products according to established production and quality standards
- Monitor equipment during production and make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
- Band, wrap, and prepare finished products for storage or shipment
- Perform quality checks and inspections throughout the production process
- Safely handle and move materials throughout the facility, including operating a forklift
- Complete production, inventory, and other required documentation accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established production and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred
- Good understanding of inventory, scheduling, and production processes
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and in a hands-on production environment
- Strong attention to quality and ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
