Job Full Description
Delivery Driver/Forklift Operator
We are currently hiring a Delivery Driver to join a local metal recycling facility. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road while also working hands-on at the warehouse. The driver will make local pickups and deliveries, assist with material handling, and provide friendly customer service at pickup and delivery locations.
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm, Saturday 7:00am-12:00pm
Location: East side of Madison, WI
Responsibilities:
- Complete local pickups and deliver materials back to the warehouse safely and on schedule
- Load and unload materials and assist with moving items throughout the facility
- Operate a forklift to move and organize materials
- Assist with sorting and handling various recyclable materials
- Interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries
- Complete basic paperwork and documentation related to pickups and deliveries
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized vehicle and work area
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Previous customer service, delivery, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred
- Comfortable operating a forklift or willing to learn
- Able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment and assisting with a variety of tasks
