General Labor Material HandlerCompany Overview:We are a regional supplier of building materials and construction products that serves contractors, builders, and home improvement retailers. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality products and exceptional customer service to support the growth and success of our local communities.Job Summary:As a General Labor Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing and moving inventory within our distribution center. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and shipping a variety of building materials and construction products to meet the needs of our customers.Key Responsibilities:- Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and store materials- Pick and pack customer orders, ensuring the correct items are selected and prepared for shipment- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts- Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize storage and workflow- Adhere to all safety protocols and proceduresQualifications:- Experience in inventory management or material handling- Ability to read and interpret product labels and documentation- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the day- Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructionsWorking Conditions:This position is primarily based in an indoor warehouse environment. The work involves moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional weekend work to meet customer demands.Compensation and Benefits:$20 per hour.
