Job Full Description
Hours: Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm
Pay: $17/HR
Duties:
- Locate and move materials using equipment like forklifts or overhead cranes.
- Weigh materials to determine proper packaging and ensure safe delivery to customers.
- Count and verify parts to accurately fulfill customer orders.
- Operate hand grinders, belt sanders, and other tools according to specifications.
- Complete paperwork and enter information accurately into the mainframe computer system.
- Prepare shipping tags using the department computer or manually if necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members across shifts regarding work in process and order priorities.
- Notify supervisors or maintenance of equipment malfunctions and assist in preventive maintenance.
- Adhere to safety policies and practices, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Lift, push, pull, or move materials up to 75 pounds individually or via team lift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience with grinding hand tools preferred.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and related equipment safely.
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.
- Ability to read basic blueprints.
- Knowledge of general shop procedures, rules, and safety precautions.
- Strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
