Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
Pay: $20.00/HR+
Duties:
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for production machining operations.
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and manual lathes to manufacture precision components.
- Program and troubleshoot using G-Code and M-Code.
- Utilize Fanuc controls to create, modify, and optimize machining programs.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, offsets, and machine parameters to ensure efficient production.
- Operate lathes with Y-Axis capabilities, Live Tooling, and multi-axis machining functions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and technical specifications.
- Calculate machining requirements including speeds, feeds, tooling selection, and work holding methods.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Verify product conformance to dimensional and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and programming issues.
- Train and instruct machine operators on setup procedures, tooling, quality requirements, and production processes.
- Maintain accurate production records and process documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve production efficiency.
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience with responsibility for CNC programming, machine setup, and CNC lathe operation.
- Experience writing, editing, and troubleshooting CNC programs.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, G-Code, and M-Code programming.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes and manual lathes.
- Experience with Y-Axis machining, Live Tooling, and complex turning operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Strong understanding of machine tool operation, tooling selection, workholding, and machining processes.
- Experience performing precision inspections using calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Ability to calculate job requirements, machining tolerances, speeds, feeds, and tooling requirements.
- Experience training operators and supporting production personnel.
