Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00pm - 4:00am
Pay: $19.00 /HR
Duties:
- Locate and transport materials using a forklift or overhead crane. Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 75 lbs. Heavier materials require team lifting or appropriate equipment.
- Load materials onto truck trailers, ensuring proper spacing and arrangement for optimal delivery.
- Verify materials to confirm correct items are placed on trucks according to manifest and weight.
- Complete necessary paperwork following company guidelines, including order processing in the mainframe system.
- Prepare shipping tags using a department computer or manually if necessary.
- Notify supervisor or maintenance when equipment requires repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety policies, including the use of required PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Operate in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks, interruptions, and problem-solving as needed.
- Use scanners and paperwork to ensure accurate product loading and organization of staged loads.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes preferred.
- Prior use of grinding hand tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of general shop procedures, rules, and safety precautions.
- Ability to perform simple math (addition & subtraction).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask through interruptions.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to cooperate with co-workers.
- Ability to read basic blueprints.
