Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $17.00/HR
Duties:
- Operate metal shear equipment safely and efficiently to meet production requirements
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, drawings, and production schedules
- Verify material dimensions and specifications prior to processing
- Set up, adjust, and monitor metal shear equipment for optimal performance
- Measure finished parts using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring devices
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report maintenance needs as necessary
- Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company policies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating metal shear equipment preferred
- Experience with metal fabrication equipment such as press brakes, saws, CNC machines, or similar machinery
- Prior manufacturing or metal fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines
- Dependable with strong attendance and reliability
- Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow procedures consistently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
