TEMPORARY POSITION OPPORTUNITY!
Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 10:00am - 10:00pm
Pay: $20.00/HR
Duties:
- Assist the Box Office Manager with preparing and reconciling daily ticketing and financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy of all box office transactions, including ticket sales, refunds, exchanges, releases, cash, checks, and credit card payments.
- Monitor ticketing equipment, hardware, and software to ensure proper functionality and report issues or needed repairs to the Box Office Manager.
- Maintain and update marketing materials, signage, voice messaging systems, and event programming schedules.
- Communicate departmental updates and operational details to the Assistant Festival Director.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges in a professional, positive, and solution-oriented manner.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource regarding event information, including programming, activities, shuttle services, vendor information, catering, and event history.
- Uphold all Box Office policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Supervise Box Office staff in the absence of the Box Office Manager.
- Foster a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment.
- Lead by example and serve as a positive role model for Box Office staff.
- Train staff on ticket processing equipment and ticketing procedures.
- Assist with the distribution and tracking of event credentials and wristbands at redemption locations.
- Support other departments and event operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous box office, ticketing, customer service, event operations, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience handling cash, credit card transactions, and financial reconciliation.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and ticket-processing equipment preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate tasks when appropriate.
- Ability to develop effective systems and processes that improve communication and productivity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to utilize available resources effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace applications, email, phone, and text communication.
- Professional attitude and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Ability to work in a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
- Clean driving record with no DUI, DWI, or other major driving violations if operating a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, and perform other physical activities as required.
- Ability to learn and follow company policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
