Job Full Description
Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
Pay: $21.50/HR
Duties:
- Prepare metal parts and surfaces for painting through sanding, grinding, cleaning, and surface preparation.
- Apply paint and coatings to metal products according to company quality standards.
- Perform sandblasting operations to remove rust, scale, and surface contaminants.
- Grind metal surfaces and remove imperfections to prepare parts for finishing.
- Drill holes and complete basic fabrication and shop-related tasks as needed.
- Inspect painted and finished parts to ensure proper coverage, appearance, and quality.
- Assist with material handling, shop maintenance, and general production duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
- Assist other departments as needed to support production goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous painting experience is a strong plus but not required.
- Manufacturing, metal fabrication, industrial painting, powder coating, sandblasting, or general production experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, drills, and other shop equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
