Located in Racine, WI

Pay: $28-35.00/hr

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications
Set up and operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses
Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues to minimize downtime
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
Modify tooling as needed to improve production efficiency and product quality
Conduct preventative maintenance on tooling and related equipment
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Maintain clean and organized work area

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Technical degree or apprenticeship in Tool & Die, Machining, or related field preferred
3+ years of tool making or tool & die experience preferred
Strong understanding of machining practices and metalworking processes
Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances
Experience with manual machines required; CNC experience is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills

Welding and fabrication experience
CAD/CAM knowledge
Experience in stamping, injection molding, or precision manufacturing environments
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices

Work Environment

Manufacturing or machine shop environment
Exposure to machinery, noise, oils, and metal materials
Use of required PPE including safety glasses, steel toe boots, and hearing protection
