Job Details

Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The CNC Operator will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, monitoring production quality, performing basic machine adjustments, and ensuring production goals are met while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathes, mills, or other CNC machines according to work instructions and production schedules
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
• Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Make minor machine offsets and adjustments as needed
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate production concerns, quality issues, or equipment problems to supervisors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic math calculations
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

Preferred Skills

• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers
• Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming basics
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
