Job Full Description
Main responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production equipment used to manufacture/package colloidal silica products.
- Control and monitor computerized production systems.
- Measure, weigh, mix and process chemical ingredients according to established procedures.
- Monitor batches for quality and safety.
- Take product samples for quality testing.
- Record production, sanitation and testing information.
- Fill containers with finished chemical products.
- Clean and maintain equipment and the work area.
- Follow all chemical safety, food safety and company policies.
Physical requirements:
- Lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively
- Stand, bend and reach for extended periods.
- Frequently climb stairs and ladders.
- Wear required PPE for extended periods.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, agitators, homogenizers and drum tippers.
Qualifications:
- High-school-level reading and math proficiency.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- 2+ years of chemical or food-processing experience preferred
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
