Job Full Description
Responsible for overseeing purchasing, procurement, and material distribution, including:
- Manage procurement activities, purchasing systems, and procedures
- Supervise storeroom and supply personnel
- Source, evaluate, and maintain vendor relationships
- Negotiate pricing, quality, delivery, and service with suppliers
- Prepare and review purchase orders, contracts, bids, and vendor agreements
- Monitor materials from purchase through delivery and ensure availability
- Manage procurement reporting and assign purchasing requests
- Develop and improve office, purchasing, and workflow procedures
- Coordinate disposal of surplus materials
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Plex manufacturing software
- Requires strong communication, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Manufacturing environment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
