Now Hiring: Spooler Trainee Technician!
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and dependable Spooler Trainee Technician for one of our valued clients in the Oil & Gas industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a specialized trade, and is willing to travel and work overtime as needed. Training is provided for the right candidate!
What You’ll Do
- Learn the setup, operation, calibration, and maintenance of spooling equipment
- Assist experienced spoolers with loading and unloading materials onto spools
- Monitor the spooling process to ensure efficiency and quality
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and malfunctions
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Record spooling data, including spool length, tension, and speed
- Work with team members to meet production goals and project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
What We’re Looking For
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Class A or Class B CDL (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday–Friday
- Day shift
- Overtime available
- Weekends as needed
- 40+ hours per week with travel requirements
