Career Success Series

Career Success Series is a customized set of trainings designed by our Grand Rapids team to provide instruction and guidance through the process of finding a job and building your career. The series includes workshops on the topics of interviewing, interpersonal skills, resume building, career planning and more. These trainings are free, and we welcome anyone in the community to attend. With a panel of professional recruiters, and trainings led by certified trainers, these workshops will set you up for success. 

Job Genius

Mapping out a career path, finding job openings, then landing a quality job can be an overwhelming process. From our experience of putting nearly 550,000 people to work each year, Express has crafted Job Genius, an educational program designed to teach young adults how to successfully enter the workforce.  

Videos include topics such as Job Market Forecast, Finding Job Opportunities, Your Resume, The Interview, After The Interview, Career Pathing, and more!

ExpressLearn

ExpressLearn is an educational program featuring a variety of flexible courses in high-demand fields. These online, mobile-friendly courses are developed for busy people like you, enabling you to build your knowledge at home or on-the-go. Express associates can access all ExpressLearn courses for 30 days after registering for the program. ExpressLearn is always completely FREE for any Express associate! Mel Trotter Ministries

Mel Trotter Ministries is a local organization that serves those that are experiencing homelessness in Grand Rapids by providing food, shelter, and compassion.

Urban League

Urban League works to enable African Americans, other minorities and the disadvantaged to become self-sufficient, secure, and healthy by providing programs in education, job training, employment, housing, health and economic development and to collaborate with other community groups to help achieve these goals

Alpha Grand Rapids

Alpha Grand Rapids provides free and confidential services that are available regardless of income, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion, nationality, or residence. The services they offer include medical services, support services, educational services, and material resources. 

Family Promise

Family Promise partners with families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless by helping them get back on their feet so they can create a stable lifestyle for their children.

Family Network

Family Network is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to nourishment for a stronger community by providing a food pantry, durable medical equipment, and other services. 

Preferred Employment Program

The Preferred Employment Program is a partnership that offers waived application fees and reduced move-in costs at Bloomfield Townhomes, Eastland Apartments, Forest Pointe Apartments, Old Farm Shores Apartments, River Oaks Apartments, Rolling Pines Apartments, and Timber Ridge Apartments.

Kent ISD

Kent ISD helps adults build brighter futures by helping them get their high school equivalency (GED), gain skills in the English language, and through Career and Technical Education (CTE).

Sparta Schools Adult Education

Sparta Schools offers instruction by experienced professional teachers in GED, ESL, Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, and Career Coaching.
