Lorraine Medici is the Director of Training and Development
at Express Employment Professionals of Grand Rapids. She has successfully launched Purpose-Driven
Leadership Training, a Leadership Academy targeted at helping develop managers
and leaders at all levels in manufacturing and other industries. She is also an approved Training Partner with
the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). She is an Associate
Certified Coach and Master Practitioner for the ELI (Energy Leadership Index)
Assessment. Lorraine is also certified in DISC and Emotional Intelligence

Brad has been providing training and consulting services to the manu-facturing industry since 1993 and has logged over 20,000 hours of classroom training. He is a quality engineer by trade with 15 years of quality management experience. Brad has provided consulting and training in all aspects of quality assurance, including: implementation and development for ISO/TS16949 certification, internal quality auditing, Six Sigma, Lean/competitive manufacturing, statistical process control, and formalized problem solving.Brad maintains the following certifications and is always expanding his knowledge:

Michael Gilreath, a senior member of the American Society for Quali-ty, is certified as a Six Sigma Blackbelt, Quality Engineer, and Quality Systems Lead Auditor. He has provided consulting and training in all aspects of Lean, Six Sigma, and Quality & Environmental Management Systems to over 100 organizations including healthcare, manufacturing, and education.
He began his career with 20 years’ experience at General Motors learning and applying Lean through GM’s partnership with Toyota at the NUMMI plant in Freemont, CA. While at GM he was a Statistical Process Control facilitator, and Education & Training Coordinator. In 1998 he began training and consulting full time, which he continues to this day.
What sets Michael apart is his ability to engage people. His energy is contagious, and his mission is clear – teach, coach and inspire teams to greater heights of excellence. Julian Newman is recognized as a creative and inspirational speaker, leader, and consultant in the areas of organization diversity and cultural agility initiatives. With over a decade of field experience, combined with his unique ability to tell stories drawing uncommon insight out of everyday life situations, Julian brings together and maximizes a powerful blend of people and process.
His client experience represents a wide range of organizations that include Corporations, Educational Institutions, Churches, Non-Profits, among many others. Recently, Julian was named to the Great Lakes Multi-Ethnic Regional Team to facilitate diversity in Michigan faith communities, and certified facilitator for the Woodrick Diversity Learning Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Tom Stanfield joined Express Employment Professionals in 2011 and currently serves as the Apprenticeship Administrator. Tom has had a career as an Entrepreneurial Business Leader and Business Coach with 40+ years of management experience. Tom has a proven vision and ability to establish a business culture that focuses on core values and continuous improvement that achieve results. As a Team builder he has learned to harness the natural “flow” of talent in an organization and channel it to create stability and an upward movement of talent while focusing on the bottom line. Now as the Apprenticeship Administrator his background will help organizations fill their needs of the future.
Lary Shoemaker has over 20 years of hands-on experience in the precision machining and advanced manufacturing industry and over 15 years working as an instructor in these areas. He is an expert trainer in the areas of precision machining, manufacturing basics, CAD/CAM, CNC, and Pre-engineering.
He began his career with Paragon Die and Engineering as a machinist apprentice and later became a journeyman machinist and master machine builder. Lary later held the position of Plant Manager at Highlight Industries where his responsibilities grew to include the management of mechanical and electrical engineering, purchasing, inventory, and quality. During this time, Lary worked with the U.S. Dept. of Labor to develop the company’s registered apprenticeship programs for machinist and welding.
In 1997 Lary was hired by Grand Rapids Community College, Business and Technical Training group as a Training Specialist of manufacturing and precision machining. Since 1999 Lary has been teaching industrial education at Byron Center High School. He was hired to teach and develop the fledgling industrial education program. He was instrumental in planning the new facility, specifying precision machines, CAD/CAM software, and curriculum development. His teaching load includes CAD, CAM, CNC, Drafting, Blueprint Reading and Pre-engineering.
Meribeth is a professional image consultant with expertise in the area of motivational speaking, professional presentation, and personal shopping. Meribeth's experience includes speaking to groups of all sizes from 30 to 2,000 people; including: professionals, teenagers, businesses, and non-profits. She regularly speaks at conferences and hosts seminars and workshops. She has spoken to groups locally, nationally, and internationally.
Meribeth is also a Special Events Coordinator and Personal Shopper for Younker's Department Store in West Michigan and regularly conducts fashion shows and media events. She is a guest "style expert" for WZZM 13's My West Michigan (an ABC affiliate) every month, sharing style tips with viewers and providing makeovers for deserving individuals on her segment "Make Me Over with Matt and Meribeth."
Meribeth has worked as a licensed cosmetologist, a model for print and video, and as an In-Store Marketing Coordinator for Liz Claiborne Inc.
