Job Title: Tool and Die Maker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, and other components used in manufacturing operations. This role requires strong technical ability in reading blueprints, operating manual and CNC machinery, and ensuring tooling meets exacting specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and engineering specifications to determine tooling requirements.

Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (such as lathes, grinders, mills, EDM) to fabricate high-precision tools and dies.

Inspect finished tools and dies using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.

Maintain and repair existing tools and dies to support ongoing production needs and minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize tool and die designs for efficiency, longevity, and manufacturability.

Document all tool builds, maintenance, repairs, and modifications for traceability and quality control.

Adhere to safety procedures and quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or equivalent role in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with manual and CNC machine operation.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent knowledge of precision measuring tools and techniques.

Solid understanding of materials, machining tolerances, and heat treatment processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Trade school certification or relevant apprenticeship is preferred.
