Position: Forklift Mechanic
Location: Paterson, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $25–$40 per hour (based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to service, diagnose, and repair forklifts and similar machinery. This is a mobile role requiring travel to customer locations throughout New Jersey and occasionally New York, using a company-provided van.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair forklifts and related industrial equipment
- Travel to customer sites daily using a company vehicle
- Determine necessary repairs and perform them efficiently
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain issues and solutions
- Complete service documentation as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience repairing forklifts or similar machinery (REQUIRED)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong communication skills in English (some Spanish is a plus)
- Ability to interact professionally with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 7:15 AM to 3:30 PM
Compensation:
- $25 to $40 per hour, based on experience
