Business Support Specialist

Visalia, CA | Direct Hire | $70,000–$85,000/year (Exempt)

Join a mission-driven California-based company that provides IT and consulting services to educational organizations participating in Medi-Cal reimbursement programs. From enrollment and billing optimization to audit support and custom software development, this team empowers schools and districts to streamline their operations and maximize funding.

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Support Specialist to partner with the Business Development Manager and play a key role in client onboarding, marketing strategy, and operational support.

Business Support Specialist Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to execute marketing strategies and outreach campaigns.
  • Support onboarding of new clients, including documentation, training coordination, and system setup.
  • Assist with proposal development, presentations, and client communications.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems, tracking leads, contracts, and project milestones.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic initiatives and identify growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure timely delivery of services and client satisfaction.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics and client engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and clients to ensure smooth implementation of billing software.
  • Participate in audit preparation and documentation review for Medi-Cal reimbursement programs.

Business Support Specialist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or client support.
  • Familiarity with DHS, Medi-Cal, or educational settings—especially IEP-related services—is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
